Longtime Yankee Magazine writer and editor Mel Allen will present his new book, “Here in New England,” on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Showroom in Keene.
Presented in collaboration with the Toadstool Bookshop, the event will feature photos, stories, and reflections from Allen’s nearly five decades at Yankee Magazine. Tickets start at $25.50. Each ticket for $45 or more includes a copy of the book.
“Here in New England: Unforgettable Stories of People, Places, and Memories That Connect Us All” gathers some of Allen’s pieces written over 48 years. The collection highlights everyday New Englanders, their resilience, and their communities.
Allen said his goal was to reveal “the common humanity that has always been part of the New England landscape.”
