The Peterborough Town Library will open its next Community Art Gallery exhibit, โ€œโ€ฆWhat immortal hand or eyeโ€ฆโ€ by Keene-based artist G. Albie Mason, running Oct. 3 through Nov. 25.

The exhibit features paintings that explore light and nature through layered traditional techniques, a style Mason describes as โ€œsculpting with light.โ€

An opening reception will be held Friday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitors can meet Mason and view a presentation of animated, audio-reactive VJ projections with custom music in the libraryโ€™s 1833 Room.

Mason graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. His public work includes several murals in Keene, and he often blends his creative practice with ecological fieldwork.

The Peterborough Town Library is at 2 Concord St. For details, visit peterboroughtownlibrary.org or call 603-924-8040.
