Third Act New Hampshire, in cooperation with Joanna Sharf, chair of the Cornish Energy Committee, will host an online screening of โElectrifying Your Home Without Costly Service Upgradesโ on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Part of National Sun Day, which began Sept. 21 on the autumnal equinox, the program features a previously recorded presentation by Matt Christie, director at TRC Companies, Inc., with Sharf as host. Sharf, a master electrician and owner of Emily Electric, will introduce the video and answer questions after the screening.
The session will address how homeowners can manage increased electrical loads from appliances such as heat pumps, induction stoves and EV chargers without overloading existing systems. Topics include smart panels, circuit splitters, low-power appliances, 120-volt induction stoves with batteries, heat pump water heaters and dryers, and energy monitoring devices.
Christie works in TRCโs Advanced Energy Practice, where he develops programs in energy efficiency, decarbonization and electrification.
The event is free. To register and receive the link, email newhampshire@thirdact.org.
