Monadnock Food Co-op will host two community information sessions in July to share updates and gather public input on plans for its proposed store in Jaffrey.
The first session will take place July 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Jaffrey Civic Center on Main Street. A second session is scheduled for July 22 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the American Legion on Webster Street.
The co-op plans to begin renovations to the former Rite Aid building at 14 Peterborough Road in spring 2027, with construction and planning continuing throughout the year. The store is expected to open in early 2028.
According to the co-op, the Jaffrey location will offer fresh produce, meat, specialty cheeses, pantry staples, bulk foods, beer and wine, wellness products and other grocery items. Plans also include a large cafรฉ serving house-made sandwiches, salads, baked goods and grab-and-go meals.
More information about the project is available at monadnockfood.coop/jaffrey-location.
