The Cemetery Trustees are seeking volunteers for a clean-up of South Cemetery on Jarmany Hill Road on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Participants of all ages are welcome to help with yard work. Volunteers are asked to bring clippers, loppers, rakes and containers for brush, leaves and ground cover.
From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Sharing in Sharon Committee will provide refreshments at the Meeting House. A brief presentation will be given by the team that researched and identified grave sites in the cemetery.
South Cemetery is the final resting place of many of Sharon’s earliest settlers, including some Revolutionary War veterans.
