The Rindge Conservation Commission will host its annual Hike and Paddle on Sunday, Aug. 17, at 1:30 p.m. at Converse Meadow, celebrating World Photography Week. Local photographer Judy Unger-Clark will join the outing to offer tips on capturing images along the trail.

The free 90-minute event starts from the parking area on Converseville Road, north of NH-119 about 3 1/2 miles east of US-202. Participants can either paddle by canoe or kayak through ponds or hike shady trails with wetland views. Paddlers must bring their own boat, paddles and life jacket. Hikers are asked to park by the kiosk to allow paddlers closer access to the launch.

World Photography Week runs through Aug. 19, with World Photography Day on Aug. 19. Unger-Clark, who holds a BFA from Alfred University, has exhibited throughout New England and taught high school photography in New Hampshire and Vermont.

The Converse Meadow Hike and Paddle is part of the commissionโ€™s annual series highlighting Rindgeโ€™s conservation lands. Upcoming events include a Sept. 14 โ€œHug Your Hound Dayโ€ hike at Tetreault Park and an Oct. 19 hike at Miriam Hunt Memorial Forest for Bat Appreciation Month.
