Becky Tracy and Keith Murphy will perform the final concert in Hancock’s summer series on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Hancock Common. Admission is free.
The duo plays traditional music from regions including Newfoundland, Quebec, Ireland and France, blending fiddle, vocals, guitar and foot percussion. Their set will include traditional material and original tunes, including compositions by Murphy, whose writing is rooted in traditional dance music.
Their collaborative work is featured on the 2020 album “Golden.” Murphy’s latest solo recording is “Bright As Amber,” released in 2023. Selections from Tracy’s solo album “Evergreen” were featured in the Ken Burns documentary series on the Roosevelts.
In case of rain, the concert will move downstairs in the Meetinghouse. The Hancock Farmers and Artisans Market, also on the common, will run from 4 to 7 p.m. with food, beverages, baked goods, local produce and crafts.
