The Dublin Community Center will host its monthly coffee house and open mic on Saturday, July 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1123 Main St., Dublin.

The evening includes coffee, sweet and savory snacks and a featured performance lasting 45 to 60 minutes, with open mic slots available before and after. Attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages and food.

This monthโ€™s featured performers are Pati and Ken Cloutier, known regionally and nationally for their original music under the name Ivychum. Pati, a vocalist and percussionist, is the owner and artistic director of Peterborough Dance Theatre and has fronted acts including The Nines Band and the Summertime Dance Party Band. Ken, a retired ConVal High School science teacher, plays guitar and multiple instruments. Their music has been featured on NPRโ€™s โ€œCar Talkโ€ and TNNโ€™s โ€œCrook & Chase,โ€ and they have opened for Jonathan Edwards, Robin Trower and Marc Cohn.

They will be joined by Richard Doherty, also known as Chard, Rico, Dr. Slidewinder or Slidey. A lifelong musician, Doherty has played rock, pop, folk, country, blues, jazz and electronic music for 50 years. He released his first official album, โ€œAs the Ivy Grows,โ€ in 2021 and is a founding member of the Kingsnakes and a recent addition to the Folksoul Band.

To reserve an open mic spot, send email to info@dublincommunitycenter.org or sign up at the event. A suggested donation of $5 or more will be accepted at the door, and a hat will be passed for the featured performers.
