Monadnock Community Hospital hosted an Integrated Response to an Active Attack training course April 26 and 27 for more than 30 local first-responders.

Participants included police, fire and EMS personnel from Peterborough Police Department, Peterborough Fire & Rescue, Dublin Police Department, Greenfield Police Department and New Ipswich Police Department.

The 16-hour course, led by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training team from Texas State University, included classroom instruction and scenario-based exercises focused on coordinated response tactics.

โ€œThis weekendโ€™s training was not only valuable for the Peterborough Police Department, but an awesome opportunity to train with other first-responders from law enforcement, emergency medical personnel and MCH staff. A job well done by the training staff,โ€ stated Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard.

The training was freeย for participating agencies.

โ€œWeโ€™re honored to support our regional first-responders by hosting this critical training,โ€ said Cynthia McGuire, the hospitalโ€™s president and CEO. โ€œThe collaboration among law enforcement, fire and EMS during this course highlights the strength and unity of our emergency response network.โ€
