An 18-year-old from Keene was arrested Tuesday after a chase that started in Hillsborough and continued into Antrim before returning to Hillsborough.

According to a release from the Hillsboro Police Department, Chief Christopher Parsons had attendedย a legislative signing at the State House related to bail reform, and while traveling on Route 9 in Hillsborough, he observed a vehicle traveling in the opposite lane at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Parsons initiated a pursuit, which continued into Antrim before the suspect vehicle turned around and reentered Hillsborough. The pursuit endedย when the vehicle crashed down an embankment in the corridor. Following the crash, police stated the operator fled on foot but was immediately apprehended by Lt. Mark McSweeney. Parsons apprehended the passenger.

The operator has been identified as Justice Lucken, 18, of Keene. Luken was held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending a court appearance. Charges includeย disobeying an officer, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon ๏ฟผx 4, resisting arrest, reckless operation andย operating without a valid license.

The Hillsboro Police Department was assisted by the Antrim Police Department, Deering Police Departmentย and Hillsboro Fire and Rescue.
