Crotched Mountain held its Cardboard Box Derby and Pond Skim Sunday, in which participants built vehicles out of cardboard, duct tape, zip ties and paint. During the pond skim, contestants tried to glide across the man-made pond.
“Our annual Cardboard Box Derby and Pond Skim was a blast” stated Susan Donnelly, general manager of Crotched Mountain. “It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and our 60th anniversary, and for our community to come together, showcase their creativity and enjoy a day of winter fun on the slopes.”
The ski area is scheduled to close March 24.
