The Jaffrey 250 Veterans Committee is hosting a salute to Jaffrey Veterans, June 17. A tour of the Old Burying Ground will begin at 12:30 p.m. A ceremony at the Meetinghouse, 15 Laban Ainsworth Way, will feature Jaffrey veterans, historical re-enactors, cannon, and music will be held at 2 p.m.
At 5 p.m. there will be a chicken barbecue at the downtown Jaffrey Common – veterans eat for free, $10 for all others. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Temple Band. At 7 p.m. “Saving Private Ryan” will be shown at The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. Veterans will be admitted free, and $5 donations will be welcome from others.
