100+ Women Who Care Monadnock, a local giving circle, announced recent charitable grants.

The Monadnock Humane Society, located in Keene, received a check for $11,245 to support the Animal Safety Net program and the Animal Anti-Cruelty Fund.  The Animal Safety Net program provides free boarding and medical care to the pets of those fleeing domestic violence, are homeless, or are entering a treatment program. The Animal Anti-Cruelty Fund supports an agent who works alongside law enforcement during investigations. MHS provides shelter and medical care for the animals during the investigative process. 

All charities applying for grants must be located in one of the 15 towns this chapter serves, including Antrim, Bennington, Dublin, Francestown, Greenfield, Hancock, Harrisville, Jaffrey, Nelson, New Ipswich, Peterborough, Rindge, Sharon, Temple and Wilton. Funds must be used to provide services in at least one of the towns. 

The public may make nominations on behalf of local charities 30 days prior to and no later than 15 days before the quarterly meeting. The next meeting is on Thursday, July 20 it the Lucy Hurlin Theatre at ConVal Regional High School, 184 Hancock Road, Peterborough.
