Dan McMillan, executive director of Save Democracy in America, will talk about the concept of Democracy Dollars at the Grand Monadnock Rotary Club meeting Tuesday, March 28, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at MAXT Makerspace, 49 Vose Farm Road in Peterborough.
According to McMillan, the biggest flaw in the country’s political system is that “our government is for sale to high-dollar campaign donors, and this is not government by the people.”
With Democracy Dollars, McMillan claims the people would become the donors, as the government would give every registered voter vouchers for campaign cash, which they can then give to the candidates they support.
