Hunt was born and spent his early years in Sierra Leone in the midst of the civil war there. He and his twin sister were adopted by a New Hampshire family and grew up in the Granite State.
Hunt has performed at many venues in the Monadnock region, including The Park Theatre in Jaffrey, fireworks in Keene, the Peterborough Town House and the Uplift Music Festival in Mason, as well as throughout New Hampshire and other New England states.
He has been recognized with the Innovators Award at the GSM Music Awards and was nominated for Best Male Act of the Year by the New England Music Awards in 2021.
Hunt was inspired to write “Stand Together” out of a desire to do something as a musician to express support and solidarity with the people of Ukraine after the Russian invasion, but the song is also relevant to the theme for the 2023 MLK Day event of environmental justice.
The event will be livestreamed on parkyoutube.com. Weather and other updates at are available at MLK Celebration Jaffrey-Rindge on Facebook or by contacting jaffrreyrindgemlk@gmail.com.
