On Jan. 6 at 5 p.m., the Jaffrey Civic Center, 40 Main St. in Jaffrey, will present its next installment of “Stories to Share.”
Now in its second season, the series features notable locals who have unique and intriguing life stories. The Jan. 6 speaker will be self-taught engineer and entrepreneur Steve Walker, founder of New England Wood Pellet and CEO of IMBY Energy.
New England Wood Pellet, which Walker sold in 2014, is now the largest manufacturer and distributor of wood pellet fuel in the United States. Walker started his next business venture, IMBY Energy, in 2016 with a goal of reducing building energy consumption. IMBY’s goal is to transform how energy is consumed and produced by using renewable fuels to provide homes with all heating, cooling, hot water and electricity needs.
In addition to his entrepreneurial efforts, Walker has been recognized internationally for his work in the field of dyslexia and is a contributor to state and local energy initiatives.
“Stories to Share” founder Joseph Steinfield will serve as moderator for the talk. The program is free, but to help support this event and others like it, donations are appreciated. The program will be available as an in-person event at the Jaffrey Civic Center as well as via YouTube live. To register for in-person attendance, go to bit.ly/3WgXQww.
