Male-dominated conservative Republican legislatures across America, including New Hampshire, are now trying to outdo Texas and Oklahoma by curtailing all kinds of basic human rights for women. Thus PMS – putting up with men’s “stuff” – is currently a constant challenge for the sisters of Eve.
The recent anti-abortion ruling by the Supreme Court has added high-octane fuel to this inferno. Now, basic contraception and “fetal heartbeat” are in the crosshairs of self-righteous males. However, if these guys’ moral values were consistent regarding the basic sanctity of life, they wouldn’t keep defunding the social safety nets that protect children after birth. But rather now they crucify poorly resourced young mothers with “failure-to-protect” laws, so women who are “less than” get lengthy terms relative to male child-abusers.
Since the fall from the Garden of Eden, women have been on the losing side of this tragic double standard because insecure, fearful males keep fighting to rule the roost. However, if males, especially the ones now in those Supreme black robes, could get pregnant, there would be abortion pills available 24/7 at every McDonald’s drive-through. Ironically, to grow from a fearful boy to a brave, powerful man, one must muster the courage to let go of control, and rather empower others.
