Freshman center Sara Macary (Naugatuck, Conn.) collected the first round of weekly awards for Franklin Pierce women’s basketball, receiving NE10 Rookie of the Week accolades.
The award comes after a 1-0 week for the Ravens, where Macary knocked down a career-high 17 points versus Saint Michael’s College last Wednesday, having now strung together consecutive 10-plus-point performances. In the same contest, Macary added five rebounds, along with a single assist and steal.
Macary has totaled 46 points scored while averaging 7.7 points per game. From the floor, she has shot 19-47 (40.4 percent) and grabbed 20 rebounds.
Women’s basketball (3-3, 1-1 NE10) is scheduled to open a home basketball doubleheader on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m. versus in-conference opponent Le Moyne College at The Fieldhouse.
