Residents are invited to share their favorite parts of downtown Jaffrey – or other downtowns they’d like to see incorporated into Jaffrey – during the second half of a community conversation on Nov. 10.

The workshop is scheduled to include a meet-and-greet starting at 5 p.m., with the workshop held between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Jaffrey Fire Station.

The first half of the workshop was held on Oct. 25, where residents identified values they’d like to see incorporated or remain in the downtown after a planned major roadway project, which includes the construction of two roundabouts, connected by a bridge over the Contoocook River downtown.

In partnership with Carsey School of Public Policy/NH Listens, the town is taking feedback from residents about the priorities for  downtown in the wake of the major changes.

The Nov. 10 workshop will start with a summary of what was shared in the previous meeting. Residents do not have to have attended the first meeting to attend the second.

Participants will then be asked to share stories, photos or videos of aspects of downtown they love and discuss what might be brought to Jaffrey, or what residents want to keep in the downtown post-roadwork.

Topics of discussion will include sidewalk amenities, crosswalks, an information center, key businesses or new businesses and the vision for downtown growth.

Residents can register to attend at townofjaffrey.com/planning-economic-development/events/31406.
