The public is invited to gather once again for weekly supper at Union Congregational Church, 33 Concord St. in Peterborough, starting Monday, Oct. 17.

The church began offering free suppers in the church hall on Monday nights 20 years ago.  The COVID-19 pandemic forced a shift to takeout-only in March 2020.

Guests are asked to stay home if experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other contagious illness. Otherwise, all are welcome. Visitors will be asked to provide their name and email address at the door for contact tracing, and to notify the church (anonymously) if they should test positive for COVID-19 soon after attending a supper so that the church may alert those who were present.

Each week, the meal features an entrée, side vegetable or salad, bread, dessert and beverages.  Menus will be posted on the church website, uccpeterborough.org, and will be available by calling the church office at 603-924-3272.

Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall attached to the church. Main dishes for this month are ham and beans Oct. 17, shepherd’s pie Oct. 24 and soup Oct. 31.
