The Monadnock International Film Festival (MONIFF) has partnered with The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey, to present the new David Bowie documentary “Moonage Daydream.”

The film screens for a week starting Friday, Oct. 7. The opening night will include a Bowie/glam attire contest, 1970s disc jockey, free finger foods, prizes and cash bar. The event begins at 5:30 p.m., and the film begins at 7 p.m.

“Moonage Daydream” is a cinematic odyssey exploring Bowie’s creative and musical journey from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Brett Morgen (“Jane,” “The Kid Stays in the Picture,” “Chicago 10”). The film was sanctioned by the Bowie estate. It was five years in the making and features never-before-seen footage.

The film plays at 7 p.m. nightly, except Monday, through Oct. 13. There is also a matinee on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $9 and $8, and can be purchased in advance by visiting theparktheatre.org or calling the box office 603-532-8888. Admission is free for MONIFF 2022 pass-holders.
