Members of the community are invited to an event celebrating the life of Great Brook School Assistant Principal LexyHeatley Saturday, Sept. 17, at 8:45 a.m.
Ther ceremony will honor and remember Heatley, who died this summer after a battle with cancer. The ceremony will be held at the main entrance of Great Brook School, 16 School St., Antrim.
In her memory, a magnolia tree will be planted outside the main entrance to the school, and all who attend the ceremony will be invited to place a rock around the base of the tree.
Heatley came to ConVal in 2010 as a Title I teacher and later as a special educator at Great Brook School, and had served as the school’s assistant principal for the last three years.
