Music on Norway Pond’s adult choral ensemble, the Norway Pond Festival Singers, starts rehearsals for the new singing year Thursday, Sept. 22, and welcomes new singers to join in the fun.

The women rehearse weekly from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. in the Hancock Meetinghouse, 47 Main St. Celebrating their 15th season, they will prepare for a performance at the annual Hancock Family Holiday Concert, “Noel on Norway Pond” on Dec. 17.

In January, tenors and basses are invited to join the ensemble for a concert in late February. The February concert has varied from last year’s “Gloria” by Vivaldi to Broadway favorites like “Pippin” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” This year’s theme is “Across the Pond and Back” and features Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Trial by Jury” along with choral works by American composers.

The Norway Pond Festival Singers are conducted by Jody Hill Simpson, with Mary Ann Fleming at the piano. To sign up, contact Simpson at jody@musiconnorwaypond.org or call 603-525-9303.
