Homesteaders of New England will hold their fall gathering Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oak Park, 971 Forest Road, Greenfield.
The event is for homesteaders and small-scale farmers from around the region to learn how to lead a more self-sufficient life. Guest speakers will be speaking on topics relative to homesteading in the Northeast, and there will be food from local food trucks.
Guest speakers include Morgan Gold on telling a farm’s story, Aust Martin on making a homestead profitable, Kendra “K” Martin the first family milk cow, David Peck on beekeeping basics, Rich Giordano on seed-saving and Jane Beauchamp on sheep.
Only two-day passes are available. Passes are $25 for people 14 and up and free for 13 and under. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
