On Saturday Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Scott-Farrar at Peterborough will host its annual yard sale fundraiser and bake sale to benefit the Western New Hampshire Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The event will take place in Scott-Farrar’s side parking lot off Elm Street.

Residents, staff and members of the community have donated items for the yard sale, with all proceeds going to the Western New Hampshire Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Items will include furniture, bureaus, lamps, cookware, glassware, toys and seasonal items. The bake sale will include brownies, cookies and other baked goods made by Scott-Farrar staff and residents. In addition, there will be a food tent selling hot dogs, chips and drinks.

In August, Scott-Farrar raised more than $450 from its annual carwash fundraiser for Alzheimer’s. Scott-Farrar staff has also been donating $1 on Fridays to dress casually to participate in “Casual for a Cause.”

Scott-Farrar at Peterborough is a nonprofit retirement community at 11 Elm St. in Peterborough. It will be accepting donations for the yard sale between Sept. 6 and 21. For information about the yard sale and to inquire about donating items, contact Toby Cummings at 603-924-3691. All donations need to be approved before being dropped off.
