For the past couple of years, amidst unexpected changes in the world and recently within their band lineup, the members of Low Lily have been creating music for a new album, and have recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the making of the album.

โ€œWe are calling the album โ€˜Angels in the Wreckageโ€™ย to reflect the duality of beauty and destruction, and love and loss. We witness this paradox in the world every dayโ€ฆ but so many of us are out there trying to do our part to bring some good into the world,โ€ stated lead/singer guitarist and Greenfield native Liz Simmons.

Low Lilyโ€™s founding members ย Simmons and Flynn Cohen welcomed Natalie Padilla as the newest member of the band, afterย third founding member LissaSchneckenburger parted ways with the band in June. However,ย Schneckenburger contributed three original songs to the new album.

Padillaย has won fiddle championships in multiple styles, including bluegrass, old time, and Texas fiddle. She is also a singer, and an original song of hers will be featured on the album.

Low Lilyโ€™sย plan is to perform atย festivals and tours for the remainder of 2022.

โ€œWe donโ€™t know what the future will bring, but we know that we want to continue to write songs, make music, travelย and reach people around the world.โ€ Simmons stated. โ€œIt is our hope that this album will help launch a new era for us as we connect more deeply with the beloved roots music of North America, and that it will hopefully create more opportunities to bring that music to all of you, live and in-person.โ€
