The Peterborough Welcome Team invites all Peterborough residents to attend an outdoor meet-and-greet event Thursday, Aug. 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St.

The event is a way for people to meet their neighbors and community members, and have some s’mores on the River Terrace at the Peterborough Town Library. Reservations are encouraged but not required to attend. Visit bit.ly/meetgreetoutside or send email to peterboroughwelcome@gmail.com to confirm attendance.

The Peterborough Welcome Team (PWT), an official committee of the Peterborough Economic Development Authority, is a group of local resident volunteers who want everyone who moves to Peterborough to feel welcome, get to know the town’s offerings and become part of the community. The PWT welcomes new residents to town with a Peterboro Basket filled with information and special offers from local businesses and organizations.  It also hosts meet-and-gree events in town to give new people a chance to meet other residents, both old and new.  More information can be found at peterboroughworks.com/welcome or at facebook.com/peterboroughwelcometeam.
