Harris Center for Conservation Education, 83 King’s Highway in Hancock, will offer a weekend of exploration and community science as part of its BioBlitz project. All iNaturalist observations made between Aug. 19 and 21 within Hancock town boundaries will automatically be included.

Participants can enter sightings from their own backyard, a town conservation property, or Harris Center land. To learn more, join ecologist Steven Lamonde from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for the Aug. 16 virtual introduction to iNaturalist and this BioBlitz effort. In-person field training and morning of BioBlitzing will be Aug. 21 at the Harris Center from 9 to 11 a.m.. For information, contact Steven at slamonde@antioch.edu. Registration is required at harriscenter.org/events.

The event is co-sponsored by the Harris Center, the Hancock Conservation Commission and Moosewood Ecological.
