The First Church in Jaffrey, 14 Laban Ainsworth Way, will hold its annual fair on Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Donations are needed for the venues: garden center, antiques and collectibles, vintage and decorative linens, jewelry, bakery, fine art, white elephants, tools and small electronics. People can drop off items at the Blackberry Lane entrance to the Parish House in Jaffrey Center Tuesday, July 12, from 9 to 11 a.m.; Thursday, July 21, from 2 to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will be present to assess donations and help unload.
Items that are in good condition, attractive, clean and in working order will be appreciated.
The annual fair event depends on roughly 100 volunteers and the support of local businesses to set up, sort, sell, park cars and clean up. While the church’s congregation plans and organizes the fair, two-thirds of the workers come from the wider community. Funds raised help support more than a dozen local social service organizations and scholarships.
