BioBlitz: On June 11 at 1 p.m. (rain date June 12), join the Ingalls Memorial Library and the Rindge Conservation Commission at Tetreault Park for a BioBlitz. Help to discover all of the weird and wonderful species of plants and animals that live in Tetreault Park at this hands-on, family friendly event. Incorporate technology in nature exploration and study through the use of the iNaturalist app, and assist scientists in tracking, counting and observing birds, bugs, flowers and more in their local habitats.
Attendees will also be entered into a drawing for a Mason bee house to bring home, giving backyard pollinators a place to nest.
Mini BioBlitz:Ingalls Library is hosting a Mini BioBlitz at the library May 31 at 6:30 p.m. that will serve to prepare participants for the main event on June 11 at Tetreault Park. Bring your device for assistance in downloading and learning how to use the iNaturalist app.
Rindge Farmers and Crafters Market: The Rindge Farmers and Crafters Market is now open. Check it out on Thursday afternoons at the West Rindge Village Park, Route 202 North near the intersection with Route 119, and support our local farmers and crafters.
NH Gives: On June 7 and 8, The Ingalls 1894 Association of Rindge will be participating in NH Gives, a 24- hour online fundraising event for nonprofit organizations in New Hampshire. The 1894 Association honors the establishment of our town’s library as an invaluable resource in our community, and strives to ensure continued access to books and other resources to the town by raising money for its improvements and enhancements. “Talking About Race: Staying Curious, Moving Forward, and Being Part of the Conversation”: This free workshop Thursday, May 26, at 6 p.m. at the Rindge Meeting House of 6 Payson Hill Road is designed to encourage an open and thoughtful conversation on race and how as a community we can learn to appreciate and understand experiences and perspectives different from our own. Conversation moderated by Allen Davis, an educator and racial justice activist.
