The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey, will present Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” from Raylynmor Opera, Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, fro 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The comic opera “La Cenerentola”  is based on the story of “Cinderella,” reimagined in the high-fashion world of Milan, with new English libretto by Ben Robinson.  Cenerentola (Kelsey Robertson), a seamstress and aspiring fashion designer, labors under her oppressive stepfather, Don Magnifico (Andy Papas) and wannabe-model stepsisters Clorinda (Francesca Federico) and Tisbe (Alyce Daubenspeck).

It is Fashion Week in Milan, and Cenerentola is intent on presenting her fashion creations, but the Prince (Pedro Barbosa) is the head of the preeminent Milanese fashion house, House of Ramiro, a rival to Magnifico. Though the stage is set for Ramiro to rescue Cenerentola from the clutches of her step-family, she succeeds in bridging the rival factions into an all-powerful fashion empire. The cast also features Armando Contreras as Dandini and Michael Scarcelle as Alidoro.

Price is $25 to $45. For tickets, go to The Park Theatre website.
