Thank you so much to everyone who helped with our effort to provide ]essentials to the Ukrainian people. Working with NuDay, a 501(c)(3) humanitarian group, we raised over $2,000, and delivered four box trucks of goods to Derry! From there, they will be taken to New York City, where they will be shipped to Poland.
We had over 240 donations, and had over 160 people volunteering. This really was a grassroots effort. The initial idea came from two longtime Jaffrey residents, Diane Fish-Hoffman and Judy Christian Ouellette. We couldn’t have done it without the help of Atlas Pyrotechnics, Belletetes, Franklin Pierce athletes, Gauthier Automotive, Kork Little, CPA; Hannaford; Home Depot; Monadnock Disposal; Apollo Steel; Hill Family Insurance; Savron Graphics; Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce; JaffreyDPW; and Community Strategies of NH. Apologies to anyone else inadvertently omitted.
We felt blessed by being able to help these people whose lives have been turned upside down. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers and when the opportunity arises to aid them, we urge you to pitch in. After all, it really boils down to “do unto others”.
