Ted Leach hit the nail on the head with his letter on March 17 (“Free State facade”) about the fiasco in Concord. Recently the Legislature was forced to deal with a ridiculous waste of their time. They had to respond to the move being made by members to have the State of New Hampshire secede from the United States, which 13 of them voted for.

Diane Kelley of Temple is one of these “renegades” and is supposed to be representing Temple and New Ipswich. She claims to be a Republican. Is she really? Is this what the voters elected her to do for them? Do the people of Temple and New Ipswich believe she is truly representing them? It is the opinion of educated voters that she is one of the “Free Staters” who moved here to the State of New Hampshire for the sole intent of changing our system of government. Is this what we elect our representatives to do when they have been elected to the State House? When the voters go to the polls, everyone really needs to think long and hard about who and what their choices stand for.  Are we really going to sit back and let a few “renegades” change our state?
