Ann McEntee will present strategies for people to garden more wisely: taking care of themselves as they garden, assessing their home landscapes, prioritizing gardening tasks, managing mature plants and creating smaller, simpler gardens Thursday, March 10, at 1 p.m. in the Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St.

The workshop is titled “Aging Gardens, Aging Gardeners.” McEntee holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico. While living in Santa Fe, she earned her certification as a master gardener, and more recently, her advanced master gardener certification.

She currently teaches architectural and landscape history for Keene State College’s CALL (Cheshire Academy for Lifelong Learning) program and works part-time as a landscape consultant. The former lead gardener at the Cathedral of the Pines, she presents garden talks to area townships and organizations.

The event is open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required. Visit the library website for information at peterboroughtownlibrary.libnet.info/event/5812008.
