The Peterborough Community Power Task Force is excited to bring the draft of a community power plan to residents of Peterborough, who will be asked to approve the plan at our Town Meeting in May.

The plan will offer four options to suit residents’ preferences, ranging from maximum renewable energy to maximum savings. The plan will be open to all Peterborough residents and businesses. It won’t cost the town a penny, and it won’t raise taxes.

To learn more, and to provide input into the plan, please come, in person or by Zoom, to one of two upcoming public hearings —Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 7 to 8 p.m., or Thursday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 6 p.m. Both hearings will be held in the Eben Jones Classroom on the first floor of the Peterborough Town Library, and both will be accessible by Zoom at bit.ly/PeterboroughPower.

We hope to see residents, to answer questions and get input, on the 22nd at 7 p.m. or the 24th at 5 p.m. For immediately accessible additional information, please visit the web page of the Peterborough Community Power Task Force, bit.ly/PowerTaskForce.

Residents who cannot attend either public hearing can simply email their questions and comments to administration@peterboroughnh.gov. A member of the Peterborough Community Power Task Force (Tony Cassady, DoriDrachman, Elaine Holden, Ed Juengst, Michael Nadeau, Bruce Tucker, Steve Walker or me) will reply with an answer.
