A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in the Teleflex parking lot Monday night, according to Jaffrey police.
On Monday, at 11:08 p.m., Jaffrey police responded to a report of a car striking a pedestrian at 50 Plantation Drive, in the parking lot of the Teleflex, a medical manufacturing company. When police arrived, Jaffrey Fire Chief David Chamberlain was on scene and providing first aid to the pedestrian, Constance Conlin, 77, of Fitzwilliam. Conlin had several large bumps and a bleeding laceration on her head.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle that had struck Conlin, 25-year-old Summer Mills of Hillsborough, said she had been pulling out of a parking spot and did not initially notice Conlin in front of her. When she saw Conlin, she attempted to stop, but slid on the icy slush and was unable to stop.
Both Mills and Conlin were leaving following a work shift at Teleflex.
Conlin was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Mills’ 2015 Jeep Cherokee was not damaged.
