The three points of safety during this pandemic appear to be COVID vaccinations, wearing masks and social distancing. While we all can get vaccinated and wear masks, we cannot practice social distancing at meetings in the small Select Board meeting room at the Town House, where most meetings are held.
However, Danica Melone, our town planner, has suggested how the Planning Board can be safer by meeting in the larger 1833 Room at the Peterborough Town Library. I wonder why all boards and committees are not meeting there, or in the main, upper floor meeting room of the Town House, where a larger space could allow social distancing.
