ConVal 69, Pembroke 58

Senior Malachi Page was the high man for ConVal Tuesday night as the Cougars pulled off a convincing win on the road at a strong Pembroke team.

Joe Gutwein scored 15 points; Christian Buffum had 13 and Austin Knight 10.

ConVal (6-0) hosts Bow Thursday at 6 p.m.

Garrett Somero added seven points.

Conant (1-5) hosts Raymond Friday night.

Hopkinton 54, Mascenic 18

Coach Brandon Kear said his Vikings simply weren’t ready to compete on the road at Hopkinton Monday night. In the same gym where Mascenic’s season ended last winter, the Hawks held the Vikings to just one basket in the second quarter and none in the third.

Joe Cocozella had seven points.

Mascenic (3-3) is at Stevens Friday; the Vikings’  planned home game against Campbell Monday has been postponed.

Wilton-Lyndeborough 46, Mount Royal 18

The Warriors came back from Sunapee with a lopsided win over Mount Royal Monday evening. Troy Brennan scored a game-high 24 points; Sean Brennan added 14 and Zach Taylor had six.

The Warriors followed that game up with a 52-39 loss to Concord Christian Tuesday night.

WLC (2-3) hosts Newmarket Friday at 6 p.m.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Pembroke 46, ConVal 31

Morgan Bemont scored a game-high 17 points for ConVal, but the Cougars dropped one to the visiting Spartans Tuesday night.

“She is always solid, but she definitely carried her weight and did her job,” coach Kevin Proctor said of Bemont, adding that Allie Burgess also played well in the loss.

Jada Stevens scored six points.

ConVal (1-6) is at Manchester West Saturday.

Hopkinton 55, Mascenic 35

The Vikings have now lost five straight games since beating Raymond to open the season, most recently falling at home to Hopkinton Tuesday night.

Mascenic (1-5) can get back in the swing of things Friday night, when they host Stevens at 6:30 p.m.

COVID outbreak on Conant girls’ team

Conant’s scheduled game with Kearsarge Tuesday night was postponed after the Orioles fell victim to a COVID outbreak.

The Orioles (5-0) may see their upcoming games at Raymond Friday and Hillsboro-Deering Monday postponed as well, depending on the severity of the outbreak.

Aubrey Niemela scored her first varsity goal against Bishop Brady Tuesday evening in a Griffin loss.
