Peterborough Town Library recently received a $1,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Christine Mann Family Fund. This donation has been designated for the library’s newly formed unrestricted endowment fund, which was launched with an unrestricted gift of $10,000 from an anonymous donor.
The goal of the fund is to support future building maintenance, capital projects and other library expenses approved by the board of trustees.
“I am proud to support the Peterborough Town Library so that the trustees can start to build back their endowment after successfully completing a $8.5 million restoration and renovation,” stated Christine Mann. “Unrestricted gifts are the most important support for the library as they combine the financial stability of an ongoing income source with the flexibility to meet pressing needs.”
The newly reopened Peterborough Town Library was completed in September 2021 and was a public/private partnership. To find out how to support the Peterborough Town Library Endowment Fund, contact Library Director Corinne Chronopoulos at 603-924-8045 or send email to library@peterboroughnh.gov.
