Communism, socialism, Marxism need to go the way of racism and civics education according to the majority of the GOP leaders here in New Hampshire? Do not teach our children about civics as they will know too much and be self-thinkers. I met a teacher this fall who did not have a clue about FDR and him starting Social Security; she said she has to teach my eighth graders this new information that she never learned. Never learned about FDR and Social Security? What did her college teach this woman? She was no young person, as her daughter was studying biology in college. I find it disheartening as I am educating educators in our conversations about details of issues they “should” have already been taught. The teacher was from our south, but now we want to seed the same lack of information in our teachers here in long established New Hampshire?

Not teaching about facts of racism, albeit brought from other countries, for knowledge of our country’s past and current problems and tying our teachers’ hands with the “Teacher Loyalty” bill limits children’s education with facts omitted, no conversations or discussions only keeps false beliefs circulating. Children will grow into leaders here in our state who do not have, beyond not admitting, full information in conducting their lives, far beyond voting under false beliefs.
