The “giving trees” have begun to appear in Rindge at TD Bank, Walmart, Ingalls Library and Verizon, as Operation Santa is open for families needing a little help during the holiday season.
The Rindge Woman’s Club asks the community to lend a helping hand by taking a tag to fulfill a child’s wish or need. When the gift is purchased and wrapped, it should be returned to the place where the tag was taken.
To obtain help, call Marilyn at 603-899-3083. The entire program has always been strictly confidential, and many club members participate with various duties such as shopping and wrapping gifts on tags not taken. Pumpkin Organization of Rindge provides money for warm winter clothing and boots, if needed.
