Friday Night Stage is returning to Bennington on Friday, Aug. 13, featuring Otis and the Elevators and Hot Mess.
Otis and the Elevators play a soulful rendition of the blues, organizer Tom James said, with “blazing harmonica from the king of the harp himself, Otis Doncaster.” Special guests will feature throughout the set. They’ll be followed by Hot Mess, a local folk, rock, and Americana band fronted by Lisa Walsh and Monica Laskey.
Well over 100 people attended the first Friday Night Stage on July 23, James said. The Aug. 13 concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Sawyer Field. The event is free to concertgoers, but they should bring a chair and bug spray, and cross their fingers for good weather, James said.
