PeterboroughWeekend crashes

There were no injuries in two crashes reported over the weekend in Peterborough.

On Saturday, police responded to Route 101 near the intersection with Route 123 shortly before 2 p.m. for a single-vehicle crash. Dakotah Decourcy, 23, of Dover had been traveling westbound, towing a trailer, when the vehicle in front of her slowed down to turn onto Route 123, according to Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard. Decourcy couldnโ€™t stop in time, so she swerved onto the embankment on the westbound lane, damaging the front of her vehicle and popping two trailer tires in the process, he said. Decourcy was uninjured, and although the trailer had to be towed from the scene, the vehicle was still operable.

On Sunday, police were summoned to a two-vehicle crash on Route 202 by Agway at 5:09 p.m. There, A 2006 Toyota driven by Sarah Anderson, 44, of Nashua had slowed down so ducklings could cross the road, Guinard said, when it was rear-ended by a 2016 Honda driven by Laura Howard, 23, of Dover. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.
