On Saturday, Feb. 27, the Harris Center for Conservation Education will host the 4th Annual Norway Pond Symposium.

Join for a morning of talks highlighting recent research on the ecology of Norway Pond in Hancock. Topics will include: What the 2020 cyanobacteria monitoring program discovered about microscopic pond life; The Lakes Observations By Citizen Scientists and Satellites (LOCSS) project, which is tracking how the volume of water in Norway Pond and other New England lakes is changing over time; and what diatoms and pollen in pond sediments have revealed about the pondโ€™s last 3,000 years.

The symposium will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. via Zoom. For more information and login details, register at harriscenter.org/events.
