The Antrim Fire Department told a resident to stop burning furniture after responding to a report of a structure fire early Wednesday morning. No buildings were damaged.
Firefighters responded to 135 Clinton Road after receiving a call from a neighbor at 6:13 a.m. who believed the barn on the property was on fire, Fire Chief Marshall Gale said. Although the barn wasnโt on fire, the outdoor fire was โa lot closer to the structure than I would have liked to have seen,โ he said, and they ultimately issued a cease and desist order to the residents for burning furniture, which counts as โnon-permissable materials,โ Gale said.
