Temple residents can virtually attend a public hearing on proposed amendments to the town’s zoning ordinance on Tuesday night.
One ordinance is in regards to Accessory Dwelling Units, so that the dimensional requirements do not conflict with the law. Another allows Accessory Dwelling Units in Planned Residential Developments (PRDs) under certain conditions. The last changes eliminate contradictory language in the PRD section of the Ordinance regarding private roads and open space. Residents discussed a similar proposal at length last winter, but the changes did not go to vote due to a procedural error.
These amendments are being proposed to bring various aspects of the Zoning Ordinance into compliance with state laws, according to the Planning Board.
The first changes will make minor changes to the section of the Zoning Complete text and explanations of the changes are available at https://www.templenh.org/planning-board
The Planning Board is hosting a hearing via Zoom at 7 p.m. Instructions for accessing the meeting will be on the town website, templenh.org.
