The Bennington Fire Department and police were summoned after an overheated all terrain vehicle caused a small fire midday on Tuesday. The owner of a John Deere Gator had been using it around his yard near Harris’ Mini Mart on Route 202 when it ran out of gas, Fire Chief David Foster said, and the wiring harness overheated while he went to get more gas. The call came in at 12:14 p.m.
