The Hancock DPW is set to complete a second round of emergency water main work on Tuesday that will affect the water supply to residents on Bennington Road, Peterborough Road, Norway Hill Road, and possibly Main Street. The additional work was determined to be necessary during a round of water system improvements during the first week of August, DPW Director Tyler Howe said, when personnel replaced valves and hydrants throughout town. “We’re doing the best we can to improve the infrastructure that we were dealt,” he said. This Tuesday, water will not be turned off until 7 a.m., and they plan to have the water back on by 5 p.m., Howe wrote in a recent message to residents.
