Homeowners withdrew a revised application for a home renovation in Hancock’s historic district last Wednesday. William Tanner and his architect presented a revised plan to the Historic District Commission after their initial proposal was rejected by the Zoning Board of Adjustment in February, but Tanner withdrew the application after listening to public comment, Town Administrator Jonathan Coyne said.

The Tanners initially applied to convert their home at 39 Main Street to a single family home from a three unit apartment in Oct. 2019, but the Zoning Board denied their request to demolish and replace a garage on the property within the required 20 foot setback.
