Greenfield’s former Deputy Clerk Dorene Adams was appointed to Town Clerk in March, following Edith “Dee” Sleeper’s resignation on March 9. Sleeper had been reelected to the position in March 2018 and had been on sick leave since Jan. 2018, according to Select Board meeting minutes. Town Municipal Clerk Anne Setaro was appointed Deputy Clerk upon the transition, Adams said. Sleeper had served as Town Clerk since 2006. According to the town website, the clerks answer voicemails when processing renewals by mail once or twice a week while the offices are closed due to COVID-19.
